There are many ways you can help support both the Ponseti Method and Six-Feet.com. Before I talk about those, however, I would like to take this opportunity to say
I want to express my sincerest thanks to the hundreds of people who have made this website possible. With out the never ending sources of information that comes to me through other parents who are living the clubfoot experience out in the field with me every day, my task here would be impossible.
To all of them, I extend my heart felt thanks and perpetual gratitude.
This is truly a website by parents, for parents. I do not endorse any particular doctor or product discussed on this website except the two obvious: Dr. Ponseti himself, and the Mitchell foot abduction brace.
I try to give unbiased information where I can, meaning I do not take any payments for the information I offer on this site. Nobody can "buy" their way on here. Six-feet.com is my labor of love, a project I began laying the ground work for many years ago when I only had one clubfooted child.
Then I had two.
Then I had three.
Finally, much like the pregnancies that brought forth my children to their delivery, the website could not be held inside me anymore. It burst forth on June 3, 2007. I thought it would be a good idea - but the past three months of it's existence have proven to me that I had no idea how good the idea was, or how many people really needed it. I only regret not building it sooner.
Truly, building and maintaining six-feet.com has humbled me greatly and affected me deeply as almost daily I receive emails from parents who have found the site, and more importantly, found what they needed from the site. Their letters make me laugh and cry, and always move with me just how profound the clubfoot experience touches us all.
For them, for all of you, I continue to donate my time, my devotion, my efforts. I spend many morning cups of coffee here; many afternoons, and much to my husband's dismay, many late nights weeding through the hundreds of emails that come weekly, gleaning the facts, the lies, the information parents need; searching the web for more and new information, editing it, linking it, posting it to the site, and paying month after month for the hosting of this site that it may be perpetually available, and free for the taking, 24 hours a day to whom ever needs it, where ever in the world they may be.
And they come, from all over the world, countries big and small.
This website is, much like my own children, my labor of love and my gift to the world. If you like what you find here, and wish to help support my time and efforts in making it all available to both yourself and others, there are many ways you can do that.
First, I am always looking for personal opinions and first-hand accounts regarding the clubfoot doctor(s) you are using - good or bad. A parent's living experience with a doctor is worth more to me than a doctor's degree or personal opinion of himself. Second, I am always looking for testimonials describing your child's treatment process via the Ponseti Method. Your testimonials help other parents follow the method with faith, believing (accurately) that if you can do it, they can too. Third, I am always looking for more articles, more insight, new sources, and new research to post here. If you find it, sent me the link. Fourth, I am always glad to find new websites that will link nicely to this, as expanding the global clubfoot community is a large part of our mission here.
Finally, web hosting isn't free and I get no pay by being here. By not using one of the many "free" web hosting systems, I am able to control the ads that appear here, helping ensure a nicer experience to my viewers. If you would like to donate to the expenses of running six-feet.com, you may make a small contribution below.
Again, I want to thank everyone who has helped make Six-Feet.com both possible, and successful!
